Pastoral Staff
Rev. Nick KimLead PastorRev. Nick Kim studied biology at the University of Illinois (at Chicago) in order to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a dentist. However, God had other plans for him. Nick became saved and God gave him the dream and passion to reach people for Christ. While pursuing a Master of Divinity at Trinity Divinity School he served as a youth pastor at several Korean churches. Upon graduation he continued to serve as a youth pastor and worked as a consultant for the Chicago Metro Baptist Association and LifeWay Christian Resources.
In 2000 God gave Pastor Nick a vision to plant Living Grace and New Life Community, and in 2011 God brought Evergreen Community and Living Grace together as one church. In 2017 God called Pastor Nick to Grace Church. Pastor Nick’s passion is to reach the unsaved and unchurched. He is married to his wife Ji Yoon and together they have an energetic daughter, Rachel. |
Rev. Jay KimEducation PastorRev. Jay Kim became a follower of Christ at the age of 19, and after graduating from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, he felt compelled to serve God in ministry.
During the 2 years where he worked to manage a small business, and helped develop a small youth ministry at his church in Ann Arbor, MI, he received further confirmation of God’s call to ministry. He then attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School for his Master of Divinity, and later began serving as the youth pastor of Grace Church in 1996. After 8 ½ years of youth ministry, he began serving as the English Community Pastor of Grace Church in 2005, and has joyfully been serving this congregation ever since. He loves sports, contemporary worship, and eating good food, but most of all, he loves interacting with diverse people of all ages (from babies to seniors) and being used by God to bless others. Pastor Jay and his wife, Sunnah, are incredibly thankful to be the parents of two older boys, Josh and Jeremy, and a younger daughter, Mia, joining their family in 2017. |
